Bizarroid Trilogy Characters
Main characters
Kathryn
(Human)
A 26-year-old servant in the castle of King Silverforge V. Kathryn was born with ectrodactyly (cleft hands), a condition that has caused her fellow servants to mock her all her life.
Still, she remains strong and hopeful of a better life. She does her best to help Rosalind, and she also has her own dream of becoming queen—not with King Silverforge, but on her own.
Pascal
(Human)
An eight-year-old boy from the village of Brickhaven. Pascal is an orphan who is bullied by the other orphanage children both because he has autism, and because he is the only person in his town who is not afraid of the Bizarroids, but actually wants to connect with them.
King Silverforge V
(Human)
The secondary antagonist of the series, working independently of the Scumleeches.
King Silverforge is the ruler of Normalis, and also a blacksmith/inventor who enjoys building all sorts of weapons and machines. He has a sinister plan to expand his kingdom. In order to achieve this goal, he needs Rosalind...but what for?
Sky Pearls
(Otherworldly)
Sky Pearls are important supporting characters in the series. They are bubble-like orbs that float in the sky and come in many different colors.
The Sky Pearls were created by the benevolent King Nebula to watch over the island and help protect it from evil.
Rosalind
(Bizarroid)
The protagonist of the series. Rosalind is a dog/caterpillar-like creature who hatched from her egg in Normalis. She does not know who she is or how she got to Normalis.
She is maligned by the humans for stealing food from them. She is nice and caring, although her love of food and fear of conflict cause her to make some bad decisions.

Virgil and Odel
(Human)
Two nasty kids at the orphanage where Pascal lives. They frequently bully him for his autism and for being interested in the Bizarroids (whom the people in Normalis usually avoid talking about.)
Virgil does most of the bullying, while Odel is just a meek kid who goes along with whatever Virgil does.

Scumleeches
Lyre
Lord Scarleech's advisor. She's a very long Scumleech who wears a golden mask resembling the face of a beautiful young woman. This mask gives Lyre a charming voice that she uses to control the Scumleech minions.
Lyre only makes a few appearances in Book 1 but will be featured prominently in Books 2 and 3.
Lurk
A Scumleech minion who serves as a major antagonist in Book 1.
Lurk wants to be different from the other Scumleeches by biting Rosalind instead of a human. But Rosalind stings Lurk with her venom, giving Lurk a pink scar across her mouth.
This incident gives Lurk a personal grudge against Rosalind. She becomes determined to either possess Rosalind or destroy her. She is forced to go with Leery and Lug to capture Rosalind, although the two of them annoy her.
Leery
A Scumleech minion who serves as a major antagonist in Book 1. He possesses Virgil throughout most of the book.
Leery works as a spy along with Lug. At Leery's suggestion, he and Lug team up with Lurk to hunt down Rosalind.
Leery is cruel even for a Scumleech. He's both a sadist who enjoys watching others suffer and a coward who avoids direct conflict.
Lug
A Scumleech minion who serves as a major antagonist in Book 1. He possesses Odel throughout most of the book.
Lug is an unintelligent henchman who provides some comic relief. He's also very remorseful about the evil things he and his army are doing. Can a Scumleech like him change for the better?
Lord Scarleech
The new leader of the Scumleeches. Most of his troops know very little about him, except that he's a tall figure in a black cloak with a skull-like face...
Lord Scarleech only makes a few appearances in Book 1 but will be featured prominently in Books 2 and 3.
The Scumleeches are the main antagonists of the series. They are an army of wormlike monsters made of green slime. They can possess any human, Bizarroid, or animal by biting and latching onto them. Their goal is to possess every resident of Divid so they can rule the whole island.
